HIGHER GAS PRICES DO NOT MEAN TREE PRICES ARE HIGHER!!!!
I hate wasting time squelching rumors, but sometimes we have to. Last week, a news story went around on the national wire quoting one auction house manager saying that higher fuel costs meant tree prices were going up 10%.
What a bunch of hooey. First of all, someone who runs an auction house is NOT an expert in the Christmas Tree industry, and according to the article, he’s selling 40,000 trees. That’s not even a drop in the bucket.
Here’s a new release explaining the truth.
Trees for Troops kicks into high gear this week. Bookmark TreesForTroops.org and if you’re close to one of the 40 locations, you can buy a tree and add it to those donated.
Back to consumer questions tomorrow.
