Christmas Tree sales through first two sales weekend of 11/24 - 12/2/2007:
Tom Langlais
Spruce Hill Farm
Thomaston, CT
As good as last year if not better. Difficult to be more definitive as we sold out, we tag, sooner but had less trees available. We will have fewer trees in the next two years as growth catches up to demand.
Chris Massie
Illinois Forest Products, Inc.
Beardstown, IL
We could have sold more Wholesale trees but orders and requests came in late. Good sign to us that our sales could be stronger for next year. We may have to become a broker-due to our reduced acreage dedicated to tree production. Got good coverage on Trees for Troops!
Don Spilker
Spilker’s Pineridge Tree Farm
Lincoln, NE
Sales for the first 2 weekends were up about 3%. A grower within 20 miles of us went out of business & we seem to have picked up some of his former customers. We've been on TV twice plugging Trees for Troops. Donations to the Christmas Spirit Foundation are way up, too.
Tom & Kerry Dull
Dull’s Tree Farm
Thorntown, IN
At this point in the season, our number of tree sales are a little higher than last year. If we had not had pouring rain Sunday afternoon, I believe we would be farther ahead. Total income is considerably higher because folks are buying more premium priced trees. We need more 10 – 12 footers!

The Rocks Christmas Tree Farm
Bethlehem, NH
Weekend for weekend we are slightly down in retail sales but we do hope that the extra week will allow sales to catch up. Mail order sales are 15% up. Wholesale sales are up and we could have sold a lot more.
